Speed and burst test

As established by the current applicable safety regulations about ceramic grinding wheels, this type of wheels must be tested at speed (non-destructive test) and sometimes at burst (destructive test).

Abrapress wheel testing machines are able to test ceramic grinding wheels in these destructive tests according to the speeds and diameters that are specifically requested by the customer.

The wheel can be loaded in the machine in manual or automatic mode on a horizontal or inclined plane. The loading and unloading of the flanges can also occur either in automatic or in manual mode.

The wheel is clamped with forces set by the manufacturer and then brought up to speed by an electric spindle which is controlled in safety and speed with a very high accuracy.

Upon the customer’s request all necessary tools for the installation of the tested wheel on the machine shall be included in the scope of delivery.
