Grinding wheels for diamond and CBN abrasives

Description

Abrapress hot plate machines are used for hot-pressing of abrasive material and are characterized by a heated mould to ease the pressing cycle. This type of machine is mainly designed to produce CBN and diamond wheels.

The composition of this machine can vary but the loading is generally manually carried out by the operator. The unloading of the finished product can occur either in automatic or in manual mode. The main frame of the machine can be made up of either the classic 4 columns or electrowelded steel structures. The mould is generally positioned on a cart that allows the operator to work outside the machine. The same cart is later placed underneath the ram (hot area of the machine).

Pressing in the moulds is carried out by a hydraulic-control ram with different diameters and working pressures to meet the customer’s need. The turning table for the mould positioning can be of different dimensions too.

The mould is generally one but the machine can be set up on two working sides to carry out different production sizes with the same machine.

All subassemblies required in the process such as back pressure, ejector and wheels pick and place can be hydraulically or electrically controlled by means of brushless motors.
