4 tests

As established by the current safety regulations on grinding and cutting-off abrasive wheels, the mandatory tests to be carried out on this type of wheels are:

• Side load test with limit value according to the standards
• Side load test with break
• Impact test with limit value according to the standards
• Impact test with break

The machine described in this section is manufactured to carry out the 4 tests above.

Abrapress wheels testing machines are able to test wheels in these destructive tests according to the speeds and diameters that are specifically requested by the customer.

The wheels are installed on the machine by means of especially designed pins but with standardized couplings for electrospindle. The pin’s diameters and the relevant flanges are manufactured according to the applicable regulations.

The machine unloading always occurs in manual mode whereas the control software is always running automatically.

Abrapress wheels testing machines can have a single or double burst chamber managed in both cases by a single operator’s panel or control PC.

A PC-controlled machine can provide the customer with a wider management of the files resulting from the tests, i.e. for the side load test, a graph that represents the test executed is generated.

Upon the customer’s request all necessary tools for the installation of the tested wheel on the machine shall be included in the scope of delivery.
