Rotary presses

Abrapress rotary presses are used for the cold pressing of abrasive material. The component infeed occurs on a rotating table. Therefore, all components will be brought to the pressing stage by rotating in individual steps.

Abrapress rotary machines can suit the different customer’s needs thanks to their geometry.

The components loading can occur both in manual mode, through special operator’s working positions, and in automatic mode, by means of subassemblies that are specifically designed for the automatic component infeed.

This type of rotary machines allows to load the abrasive material in automatic mode through:

• loading buckets and crushers or mixing tanks and loading belts when the levelling of the abrasive material occurs with the shuttle box.
• special weighing devices (and the relevant mixing tanks and loading belts with special checks) if the levelling of the abrasive material occurs through automatic levellers.

The unloading of the finished wheel can be both in manual or automatic mode and the machine can automatically produce packs of wheels and plates ready for the next oven cycle.

Pressing in the moulds is carried out by means of a hydraulic-control ram with different diameters and working pressures to meet the customer’s needs.

The mould generally consists of a single cavity tooling but it can also be multi-cavity.
