Speed and burst test

As established by the current applicable safety regulations about cutting-off and grinding abrasive wheels, this type of wheels must be tested at speed (non-destructive test) and sometimes at burst (destructive test).

Abrapress wheels testing machines are able to test grinding and cutting-off abrasive wheels in these destructive tests according to the speeds and diameters that are specifically requested by the customer.

The wheels are installed on the machine by means of especially designed pins but with standardized couplings for electrospindles. The pin’s diameters and the relevant flanges are manufactured according to the applicable regulations.

The machine loading and unloading always occurs in manual mode whereas the control software is always running automatically.

Abrapress wheels testing machines can have a single or double burst chamber managed in both cases by a single operator’s panel or control PC.

Upon the customer’s request all necessary tools for the installation of the tested wheel on the machine shall be included in the scope of delivery.
